During the time of the second Ankyrean war when the years were shrouded in a haze of battle, the second coming of war fell upon those of the Citadels forces to defend the remaining numbers of the Ankyrean order against the ever-growing horde of rebels. Of the time, war was fraught with shadow that would eventually cover the lands. Those remaining of the Orders numbers beckoned aide of the Gods to defend what were left of their kind, in hopes that they might sustain their positions through Divine intervention. In response, only Severn, Lord of Artifice would acknowledge the cry, and He descended upon the order with His knowledge of the rebel forces. However, with the disintegration of the world around them and without leadership to guide, the defenses of the Ankyrean city was in disrepair, the orders of men and woman disbanded among themselves in unruly disorder. In an attempt to forge ahead and reach victory, Severn breeched the divide in request of His brother Arion, to beseech the Lord of Valor for His aide in defending what remained of the order.

Despite the obvious diversity of the two Lords, Arion went to the aide of the Ankyrean Order with an understanding that His brother would one day return the favor. Upon arrival in the city, He encountered men and woman donning arms without the leadership to function. The troops were in a desperate state, the men and woman who joined the rebels side only equaled the number of deserters fighting for the Ankyreans. In an effort to bring about solid construction of a worthy army, Lord Arion called forth the bravest and strongest of the lot. Two attended the herald of the Lord, two of three whom would find their names recounted for all time.

Yanda and Roan Seluno ... two brothers.

Arion took stock of these heroes to whom He gave audience, as different as night to day, the brothers stood before the Lord of Valor in all their diversity. Yanda bore a great height and slender countenance, his tone soft and fluent as he presented himself. The other, unlike the first stood stout of brawn, his words fell short off his tongue and were direct. Though the differences gave the Lord pause, time was of importance and He requested of the two a demonstration of their skill, for the reason for their appearance was in the proclamation of their prowess on the field of battle.

Right then, with the command the two brothers drew blades and faced one another as if their very life depended on victory. With the first falling of blood, Lord Arion stopped the demonstration, and with reluctance, the two came to halt. They faced the Lord and with breaths heaving bowed in acknowledgement of their skill. Arion assigned each a host of men for which the brothers would train.

Though their skill was great, with the days passing Lord Arion saw that despite the improvement in the regiments Hed given command of to the Selunos, they still held no advantage. The opposing forces held strong and with the two sides this close the Lord of Valor was uncertain of eventual victory. With His concern pressing upon Him, and time measuring the pace for the meeting of the two forces, Arion called forth the brothers once more.

"Despite your skill with arms, the impending war is uncertain. " Lord Arion furthered his concerns on the brothers. "The battle will be close." He finished, and the two agreed looking shortly upon each other.

"Lord, we have another brother, equally skilled in combat, yet.." Yanda paused in his words, "You may find him somewhat reluctant to serve the cause of the Ankyrean order, he does not much care for the Ankyreans."
Roan interceded then with his gruff tone and amended, "he doesnt like anything that has learned to speak much." Muffled laughter filled the room before the stout man furrowed his disposition and looked upon the Lord.

Despite the obvious difficulty of enlisting the aid of this third brother, Arion beseeched of the brothers his name and whereabouts.
Huwald Seluno, they said lived in what would seem seclusion in the forests. Time took its toll, and the days darkened swifter as battle neared. Foregoing all formalities, Arion went to this third brother and descended upon him in haste.

Somewhat surprised, Huwald Seluno listened to the Lord of Valor as he recounted His side. The opposing forces held no sway, however the battle would be close and without an advantage victory would be uncertain. He went into great detail, unusual to the Lord Himself, He fully diverged His position to Huwald. As he concluded His epic and bid the third brother join the others in defense of the Ankyrean order against the rebels, He received a simple response.

"No." Huwald offered the Lord, in short terms and tempered tone.

"Why will you not come to the aide of the Order, Huwald, you could be the difference in this war." Arion questioned the man.

Huwald stood up and Arion saw again the differences in the brothers, however with this one the most obvious difference was his lack of clothing and his abundant coverage of painted ruins and symbols cloaking his form. Foliage dusted his brawn and yet he stood before the Lord of Valor and held his ground. "Because I have little care for the order or the rebels, Lord."

Unable to enlist the aide of Huwald, Arion returned to the Ankyrean forces and as time gave way to battle, the war began.

Word reached Arion that the rebels were forming an army in the North, He ordered the regiments under the command of Roan and Yanda to advance and meet them near to what today would be known as the plains of Mamshi.
They rode out and the war that ensued was like any to be known in this current time. The armies that met were massive, their lust to eradicate the other ferocious and without inhabitation. As the sun rose and fell the battle waged, and from side to side fell the impending victory, yet with uncertainty it was hard to tell just who was winning of the two sides. With the cloaking of light however, the largest impact of the rebel forces came forward, the creatures of the night.

With the sun giving up its vigil to the moon, the rebel side amassed to immense proportions, the fury of newly embraced childer drove back the armies of the order. It is uncertain through time just how many were taken down at the might of Roans axe and Yandas scimitars, but the two single-handedly held the forces of the rebels at bay. As evening gave way to the darkness of night, multitudes of the undead rose to smite the troops of the Ankyrean Order. Fire lit the sky in a glow of false light, illuminating the heart of wars destruction and soon a wedge was driven between the commanding forces of the Ankyreans. Yanda and Roan became separated and the forces of rebels advanced, pushing the battle deeper into what today is known as the Ithmia.

At that very moment, a horn sounded above the cries of war, ravaging the night with its sound. The firelight gave sight to those warring, drawn from their slaughter they searched the sound only to find that the very trees of the forest seemed to rise up and come alive. It was not the trees themselves, but those inhabitants of the forests, camouflaged as if they might be the very foliage itself. Men and woman of the forest ran forward into the heart of war, spears raised against the smoke filled sky and arrows flying free of bows hidden in canopies of trees overhead. The onslaught-confused friend with foe as the forests kind rose up to defend the very forest itself.

The animals too entered the fray, their hulking forms driven into the battle as they tore limb off intruders, ripping life from those imposters of the land who would rape the very forest with their war.
However, the attack was not random and soon it became obvious that the forest people were aiding the Ankyreans and the rebels were falling back, slaughtered under the fury of the forest. Illuminated by veils of smoke filtered with flame light, Huwald descended a hill between the towering posts of trees, he and his brethren had risen up to defend the forest and in doing, aided in saving the lives of his brothers.

His men joined with those of Roan and Yanda, repairing the bridge between the forces and together they drove back the rebels to the North.
With the aid, the three Seluno brothers turned the battle and brought a brief interlude of safety from this conflict for a time.

The regiments returned, victorious it would seem though at a great cost of life. With the arrival of the Selunos, Arion called the three brothers to Him and for their efforts afforded each man a large regiment of men that they might train in any way they saw fit. Impressed with the brothers bravery, skill and tenets, He honored their skill in combat and from there; the brothers went their own way.

Each returned to his own rule, Roan sought home within the mountains, Yanda to the South and Huwald returned to the solace of the forests.
With the passage of time conflict rose between the groups, whose numbers grew and strengths increased in skill, until finally the brothers agreed to come together once more to discuss the ravages of these conflicts. In the meeting, it was discovered that the values of the three differed so greatly that they could only agree on a few things. From those that they did share, an oath was sworn and a document agreed upon and signed by the three to seal an everlasting token of their bond of honor.

The document was held in protection under those who serve the Lord of Valor, its stricture preserved through the ages as it was written and signed in the time past. Its words imprinted upon those to whom gave their sworn oath of everlasting fealty to His path and of their bond of Honor.

Though the Ankyreans were given victory that extended a short period, a final battle would wage that would eventually bring about the end of both the rebels and the order. However, in the time prior to this finality, three rose up and created a legacy. Of the Selunos, the guise of its members would eventually form what today are the Paladins, the Infernals and the Sentinals.

Though the Second War would find its end in the demise of both factions, those that fought within its tattered hold are remembered in the existence of their story today. What was begot of the Seluno brothers is history, what is left is the legacy of three guilds and the future...
