Introduction
-------------

It is often argued by scholars and fools alike the dominance of Light over Dark, Dark over Light, and a multitude of other possible combinations. While these arguments may temporarily nourish the souls of the verbal combatants, they are ultimately useless, pointless, and completely irrelevant. The masses argue about who is right but in the end all stand wrong for there is no one else more correct on the nature of Light and Dark than I. It is from my own vantage point in the world that I look out over all with a keen understanding and knowledge of the opposing factors of nature. But I am not the only one who stands infallible; you know what is right and wrong and are correct in both.
Thus, I raise the argument of perspective in regards to my writings.

Prelude
--------

To put my own beliefs, rather views, of the cosmic battle between Light and Dark it is necessary to touch on the arguments of the populace because it is not what each says on their own, but what they say as a collective where the true understanding lies. Rising from the mountains and emanating from the city streets the people shout about the origins of all things. As if to say that should we ever discover which came first, the Dark or the Light, that an innate factor of dominance would spring from this epiphany of precedence. But would things truly change if one were discovered as being the first? Would the devout followers of the Light throw down their virtue to take up the pestilence of the Dark? Some would believe it to be so simple and radical. The truth is exactly what we see; the way things are is the way things will be ? barring any dramatic handling by the Gods.
The Gods, who rather than take up an absolute cause, sit amongst us and learn more from ourselves than we could ever learn from each other. The changes they bring about are not reflections of their soul, as if to say the Gods would be so imperfect as to bath in an absolute Light or Darkness, but rather instruments through which they offer us a better understanding of ourselves. Do we choose to listen? More often than not, we refuse to and instead take to reflecting our own views of Right and Wrong upon the Gods we seek to please, who ? knowing our intellectual infancy ? can do little but smile and say ?Good job? as a fathering Atavian would pat his child on the back as it soars into the clouds for the first time. What we do not always understand, is that rather than take these consummate rewards as a stepping-stone towards our own cerebral ascendancy, our egos digest them as self-affirming elements, which cause regression over pre-eminence.

For my case to be fully stated, I had to first eliminate the mortals natural tendency to self-affirm and open your character up to the possibility of removing yourself from your corporeal coils and think outside the chest, as it were.

The Case
--------

To begin, I would like to say that while many believe that Light and Dark are separate from the full spectrum of the world it is rather than they are the extremes from which the environment of the world shies away from as to prevent chaos in the natural realm stemming from internal conflict. That being said, I do say the world would be better off bathing in the continually warming rays of Light rather than sulking in the depths of Darkness for the ever. So the answers we should be seeking are not in the dominance of one over the other but for the paths to the Light easily recognized and readily followed. You can never force a mind to walk the path of Light but you can make it known that the minds of beings are and always will be welcome to bask in the glow of the Good.
To do this, to make the paths known we have to, in a sense, know the enemy of Light through subjective analyzing of its properties.

The existence of Darkness is temporal at best as to truly seek absolute black in the world one must escape sight entirely as all things of sight are based on the presence of Light. Even during the murkiest of nights there exists the lights of the moon, the stars, the cave mushrooms that grow deep within the Great Rock. Therefore we can assess the nature of Darkness is dependant on the attendance of Light.

In its pure form Darkness simply cannot exist side by side with the Light, for obscurity to appear there needs to be objects of mass present. At this point it seems almost comical to point out that something as powerful as Darkness depends largely on physical things to exist. In the heat of Midsummer?s day it is the in the shadows of coin pouches, of weighted chests, and of stomachs-too-round that Darkness can be. This is a key insight in approaching the way to pureness on the Light end of the spectrum.

From this we can start our own process of cleansing. If Darkness can only exist in the presence of things than the answer seems and is indeed simple, cleave away the things from your soul and cling to the ideals of nothing - that is no-thing.

We often talk of the innocence of newborns, the pureness of the auras and we can see our own goals of humanity in the very products of existence. Infants and the very young present auras blinding bright as they have not been tainted by the wants of objects, this is a welcome sight to those of us who follow the Light as it is a visible goal, rather than an unattainable drive. However, it is our nature to push our ideas of life upon others, and as parents we give the child things to fill their hands. From this point on, we see the auras dimming as the elements of Darkness slowly eat away at the once pure soul.

The Path
---------

To strive for the ideals of nothing, it is nothing as wasteful as to throw away your excess, but rather keep enough to pass on the ideas of Light. Do not throw items away as they lose their value or usefulness to you; rather keep them until you find a soul in need of such items. Also, we cannot be above the immediate satiation of Darkness?s desires if a soul demands items from you, produce them ? always be readily available to let Darkness envelop the soul of the ignorant, the soul of those who do not wish to seek the Light. I say let the Darkness have them for, in the end, it is not we who should be worried but rather those Dark souls who sit upon their mountains of treasure. If you have much to claim, you have much to lose. If Darkness is tied to these physical objects than it is clear that Darkness cannot last forever, just as the bulky full plate rusts away to dust, so does the Darkness contained therein. If Darkness is tied to objects, than so to is its span of existence. What this path suggests is that to combat the Darkness we do not always have to take up arms to combat it as Light has a more permanent base and thus will always outlast and win against the detriments of the Dark. Oftentimes, however, it is necessary to take up arms against the immediate negative effects of corrupted souls to protect those beings that wish to follow the path.

Conclusion
-----------

We, as followers of the Light, cannot force our beliefs upon others whether by word or blade as that is not the nature of the Light but rather a false front of the Darkness. As followers of the Light we can merely step back and preach our knowledge of the path to pureness and the indestructible soul as the only ones who will truly take the way to heart are the ones who willing change their minds and face the Light.
You can cleave away the body but the mind will always remain - absolute in form and goal.
