How this book came to be
-------------------------------------------------
In a distant past, when a Magus was still a Magus and a Novice aide was still a Novice aide, I reached enlightenment. I was walking down the southern old road at the time when a rumbling suddenly escaped from the ground below me. I jumped back and could only watch in awe when a great pit opened before me and a great demon stepped out of the smoke. It opened its great mouth and told be in his grating voice: "Listen to me carefully Guen, I have a proposal. There is greatness in your future and I can help you catch it." An awful laugh followed "All you need to do is sign this."
He handed me a piece of parchment that smelled like sulfur and contained a lot of really small letters. "Don't worry about what it says, it will assist you on your way to greatness" he said. I turned around, tore off the bottom half of the contract and signed it. Lets just say he wasn't happy.
It seemed a little part of the bottom half was still there however and a minute later, my title had changed into "the eater of Novii" The demon had to hold to the contract and helped me to greatness however, the contract required me to eat a novice each month. I have mostly been able to hide my dark practices until Omeg found out. He didn't seem to mind however and neither did most other Magi, even better many Magi seemed to have their found wonderful ways of preparing novices. And so I have asked Omeg to collect all the recipes and publish them in this book.

--The Basics of Magi cooking--

Refining your meat
-------------------------------------------------
Upon acquiring your Novice, and doing anything required with it before the refining process, you may refine the needed peaces of meat from your (late) novice. Simply type REFINE (MEAT) FROM NOVICE to acquire the needed piece ofmeat from the subject. Meat can be anything from liver to brains.

Dampening your meat
-------------------------------------------------
This is a technique that is often used when boiling the meat of the novice, dampening the meat when boiling makes the water absorb into the meat, making it more tender and killing any germs that might be left inside. Simply type DAMPEN NOVICE in case of unrefined meat or DAMPEN (MEAT) in the case of refined meat.

Dissipating your meat
-------------------------------------------------
If you acquired meat of a novice from level 15 or higher, it is advised to first remove any magical residues that might still be in the meat.
You can simply DISSIPATE RESIDUES IN (MEAT)

Palpitated Novice a la Carte
-------------------------------------------------
For this recipe you will need to refine a Heart from a Novice, this may be done either before or after slaying the Novice. Hearts that have been refined before the Novice had died tend to be a little bloodier. Once you have your meat, you need to boil it for about 5 minutees while continually embedding Palpitation upon the Heart. After this process has been completed the heart just needs to be spiced with some Ginseng and perhaps a little pepper. Best served with a fresh salad.

Harmonized Steak a la Lononcalig
-------------------------------------------------
Before you refine a steak for this recipe from a living (!) novice you need to embed "Harmony", this will make the meat jump to a perfect condition for eating, real tender and such. Once you have embedded harmony it is important that you refine the steak ASAP, this will generally mean that the Novice is still alive when you do so. Upon acquiring a steak from a novice, you need to make sure you remove any other types of internal organs that might have come out with it. Now you need to bake the steak for about 20 minutes while adding generous of crushed kola nut and kuzu root, a little bloodroot does wonders too.
Best served with baked potatoes.

Adducted Novii Dog a la Zwick
-------------------------------------------------
Refine any type of meat from our novice, put it all on a heap and cast adduction on it, making it the size of a Novii dog. Cook the dog the usual way (grilling over a holocaust globe).

Novii legs with Novii fingers a la Malacki
-------------------------------------------------
Refine the complete legs and fingers from the novice, throw them all on a heap and cast Geyser over them, this will make for crispy meat. Add crushed kola nut and bloodroot to taste. Best served with a cold flagon of Ale.

Novii Omelet a la Mefi
-------------------------------------------------
Refine the head of a Novii, and use this particular thing to make an omelet, treating it exactly as you would an egg (indeed, brains will be the primary ingredient). Don't forget to add a generous amount of ground lobelia.

Tender Novii bits with Rice
-------------------------------------------------
For this recipe one requires a wok and rice, fry the rice before adding any parts of the novice, any type of muscle will do. Flood any meat in water to tenderize it. Add some small vegetables and souse. Best served with Ale.

Shoarma a la Omeg
-------------------------------------------------
This might be one of the easiest ones around, it goes like this: Simply embed "crystal forest" on a novice and collect the strips of meat, roast these and put them in bread with a lot of garlic sauce.

Roasted Novii with garlic and honey dip
-------------------------------------------------
Upon encountering a novice, hit the subject with firelash until death and then hit him some more to roast the meat. This should be spiced with some ginseng and a lot of garlic. Serve a Honey dip for extra flavor.
Best served with a salad and baked potato.

Scrambled Novii A La Malacki
-------------------------------------------------
Once again this recipe requires just the head of a Novice, simply break the head open and let the contents flow into a buttered pan. Now simply scramble the brains and wait for them to get ready. Dried Purple coneflower and Kuzu root shout be added.

Roasted Novi a la Valie
-------------------------------------------------
For this recipe one requires an open fire and a spit. Once the novice has been acquired it needs to be skinned (Novii needn't necessarily be deceased). After this is done, gently smear the Novice with oil and add spices, ginseng, lobelia, and bloodroot make good taste enhancers here.
After this, the Novice can be attached to the spit and roasted. Meat tastes best medium.

Deep Fried Novii with goldenseal dressing a la Wolfsong
H:4460 M:2140 [eb]
-------------------------------------------------
This recipe is quite easy since the capturing of the Novice is included in the recipe. Transfix the Novice and cast a firewall. Use the wall to deep fry the Novice. Once finished. A goldenseal dressing can be added.

Sonjia's Fudge covered Novii a la mode
-------------------------------------------------
Another dessert, this one is even colder. Simply cast Deepfreeze at your Novice and you're almost done. The fudge is a bigger problem then the ice really, and if you can get your hand on some good fudge you're almost done, just melt it over the ice and add some decoration.

Fried novii basked in mushroom sauce
-------------------------------------------------
The creation of this burger is quite dangerous but it's worth it. When encountering a Novice, pour some mushroom sauce over him/her. If the Novice wants to run use transfix. Proceed to cast a Holocaust globe.
Once the globe has detonated, go back to the room and collect the scraps of roasted meat that should be on the wall, compress this into a burger and your done!

Smoked novii a la Calgone
-------------------------------------------------
Once again this recipe is a bit dangerous but worth it. When you run in to a novice, immediately use transfix! Then cast Hellfumes and all you have to day is wait. After about 30 minutes or so, the meat will have gotten a really special taste. Harvest the muscles and put the on some toast.

Reche pois le creme, ala orange di burgand et noushe novii
-------------------------------------------------
No one really knows what is in here but it tastes good.

Life Novii a la Pedra
-------------------------------------------------
This is quite a peculiar recipe to make. Once you get your hands on a novice, you venomlock them and gust them around for a while. This is supposed to tenderize the meat however this hasn't been proven since gusting around the novice is so much fun that no one has ever reached the cooking part.

Novii dipped in honey cover, flamb, to vanilla ice with caramel bits -------------------------------------------------
One of the few desserts ever created by Magi, this on just requires you Deepfreeze a novice, put them on fire and add vanilla ice with caramel bits.

Shish ka Novii a la Viron
-------------------------------------------------
Since the main component of this recipe has been banned this recipe is only seen on the black market. The main component of this recipe is a slightly altered knife sigil, it doesn't cut the connection to the elemental planes but it cuts you up into little pieces. These Pieces could be fried or baked or whatever and with a little sauce make for a nice side dish.

Spicy chocolate novii wings a la Rhael
-------------------------------------------------
This recipe does not require killing the novice. The first thing you need is an atavian novice. To keep the flesh juicy you have to tear off the wings while the novice is using them (so when in air). When you ripped the wings off, go to a safe spot where no other guild members will find you. You don't want those beautiful feathers in your food so PLUCK WINGS and safe the feathers for writing. When you have the raw meat, put some Echinacea on it, and some myrrh to make it spicy. You might also put in some ginseng. If the novice had decease in his blood, some ginseng will cure it so you don't get it too. Then you get your big pan and put loads of butter in it. Let the butter warm up for a bit on the fire till it looks nice and brown, and then put
in the wings. While the wings are starting to smell real good, get out your smaller pan and put in 15 squares of chocolate. Hang that pan next to the big one to melt the chocolate. When your wings are done put them on a big plate and poor the chocolate over it. Wait a few minutes till the chocolate hardens into a shell (a bit like sileris), and it's ready to serve.

BBQ novii a la Xoran
-------------------------------------------------
An ancient Xoran tradition that has been converted into an annual BBQ, the "Firestarter" is still really popular these days. Restrain the novice in any way possible (walls of ice, web, transfix, just think of;something) and put the novice on fire (Xorans traditionally use their firebreath for the job). Prevent the novice from putting out the fire and pour over some BBQ sauce.
