In Japan, one small village has a a rite of passage into man hood, the requirement to build and then hold a massive firework...About 3 feet in diameter, and 4 feet tall.
In Africa, many tribes have ritual tattoos, scarring, fights, or other activities as celebrations, or rites of passage.
I could continue on, but I tihnk alll in all, a few guys in traditional clothing flailing whips around isn't all too strange. |
