Install it as a plugin (File -> Plugins -> Add).
Then remember to use "resetcrit" to have criticals reset, then type "criticals" to view statistics of your criticals.
The plugin also counts the number of hits, if you wish to work if other types of hits other than DSL you need to edit the plugin and set the messages for your particular hits.

I'm not sure that the client version is the problem, but you might want to try updating your VBScript version too (if you don't have the latest one). here's the link:
