over powered

Poted by Kealiock on 21 Mar 2006 05:59 - over powered
You say, "Well, i have darts."

Avian wrinkles his nose and sniffs.

Avian Bloodrose says, "Blah blah blah."

Avian Bloodrose says, "Overpowered Sentinels."

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

The bright sun shines down upon you.

You say, "Is everything over powered sept droodles?"

Avian nods his head emphatically.

hehe, he is jealous
Poted by Andrus on 21 Mar 2006 15:52 -

Poted by Sarkis on 24 Mar 2006 15:52 -
Err..Sentaari still suck...though...we -do- have the awesome ability to attain high levels rapidly.
Poted by Hatake on 01 Apr 2006 12:09 -
Lets make this clear I hate the word "overpowered" and sentinels aren't what I would call over powered.

Besides it's normal that our skills might be a little bit more balanced (not overpowered) than the other guilds. But all the other guilds live in cities and the city guilds work together.

There are only 2 forestal guilds so ofcourse we make sure our skills are balanced with those of the druids. Makes us and the druids better when fighting together.
Poted by Avian on 02 Apr 2006 02:46 -
Sentinels > Druids.

*Pulls a chuck of sword out of his trollish skin*

Nice try, but you need a sharper one.

^_^
Poted by Sarkis on 08 Apr 2006 01:49 -
IT was laced with every poision imaginable...and...that looks infected. Add to the fact it was a neck blow...and you're screwed...if not an outright decapitation, then major blood loss and trauma to your nervous system. You'd be a vegetable.
Poted by Yreogh on 08 Apr 2006 03:49 -
Psh.  At least be believeable.
Poted by Sarkis on 08 Apr 2006 15:41 -
Uh...

Who?

*EDIT* Believiable?

...meh, like how one person tried to tell me a sword made of solid lead could cut through anything?

Remember, I do collect swords as well as study Eishin-Ryu Iaido.
Poted by Jahara on 08 Apr 2006 17:49 -

Someone cut off Sarkis his tongue. Then we could finally have some peace here
Poted by Sarkis on 09 Apr 2006 22:45 -
Bah, peace is an illusion. Doubly so if it doesn't include my talking.
Poted by on 10 Apr 2006 01:12 -
as well as study Eishin-Ryu Iaido.

By the way, I believe that there fancy looking foreign phrase alludes to the fact that Sarkis not only collects swords, but practices with them in a manner that, if properly done, harmonizes both mind and body, and hones his skills, reflexes, and concentration to a zen-like level...though please, correct me if im wrong, as you would no doubt have done regardless.

If I remember correctly, Iaido involves a style of combat where the wielder fluidly combats with every stroke, including the initial movement of unsheathing the blade-practiced to be a one move kill. That could be something else entirely though...
Poted by Sarkis on 11 Apr 2006 02:33 -
EAnid is correct. Basicly, the intial movement is meant to kill, and also allow you to follow with further offensive, or defensive maneuvers. Where as Kendo is msotly about rapid strike sword play, it's slightly more sport like, in that you'd never use a real sword in Kendo, and you get points for scoring certain hits. In Iaido, you are graded on your bearing, form, and overall skill you demonstrate as you perform various movements, and places high emphasis on focusing your mind and body to flow together. *hum*

you know, if you laced that sword with every poison imaginable...how the hell did you expect it to work? There'd probably be several hundred thousand different compounds on the blade,  which would probably be pretty bad as far as a sharp edge would go. Then, theres the matter of the ridiculously large number of poisons that, when in the same system as certain others, completely nullifies itself, said poison, and has other various beneficial effects...just to get started there. Seems kinda, well, unwieldly; and lacking nearly any real value in the long run.
Poted by Sarkis on 12 Apr 2006 17:03 -
Not entirely true.

For instance, mixing cyanide with riesin doesn't make an antidote, nor VX with Serin.

Occasionally mixing small amounts of certain poisons can nullify their effects. but only small.

Nightshade and Oleander, with some home grown cyanide and resin fromt he castor plant makes a very effective killing agent, just because ONE of those is bound to work.
Poted by Jahara on 12 Apr 2006 17:11 -
Okay...Eanid and Sarkis are not allowed to talk to each other onna counta they're too damn smart.
Poted by Sarkis on 12 Apr 2006 20:00 -
But but! My love! ...isn't it entertaining?
Poted by on 12 Apr 2006 21:06 -
I was thinking mostly the naturally occuring venoms...like the thousands one could potentially find in a given quarter acre of any good ole section of amazon rain forest. In all reality, there are several poisons that do nothing more than clean out the bodies system, either by themselves, or in conjunction with various others, exotic though several may be...wasn't really counting Sarun, or Tabun, or VX, or pretty much any other bio/chemical weapons, especially the gaseous ones.

And as for the homegrown version...its a lot easier, cheaper, and less suspicious to use, say, commercially available weed killers.

And Jaha, what else are we going to do? It's far too enjoyable...

oh, and one other thing....

WIKIPEDIA!!!!!!
Poted by Sarkis on 12 Apr 2006 23:31 -
Well...poision dart frogs are hard to curte, so are conch shell venoms, and the yellow sea snake.

What Iw ant to knwo is if ther'es an antitoxin for Sea Wasp Venom.
Poted by on 12 Apr 2006 23:56 -
why bother with that? theres supposedly a genus of giant clam with a venom strong enough to actually kill you within just a few circuits through your bloodstream...meaning you die before you feel it happen. And I like conch...

It makes a yummy chowder, is great fried, and the shell makes an impressively good instrument if prepared and played correctly.
Poted by Sarkis on 13 Apr 2006 00:59 -
Actually, conch poison kills you in a 12th of a second.
Poted by on 13 Apr 2006 03:22 -
that might have been what I was thinking about...i dunno. You know, its kinda funny you should mention conch...where I come from, the natives...myself included, are called "conchs." The place has the nickname of The Conch Republic. Something else...i've never heard of someone dieing from being poisoned by a conch...and in the Keys, you'd hear about that...as conching was once one of our big trades, or whatever you want to call it.

not to say it isn't possible, though...I've just never heard of such an occurence.
Poted by Sarkis on 13 Apr 2006 23:37 -
Well, it's probalby a differnt verision of the same sea snail as that you know as the Conch.
