*short run to the Tears*
The Tear of Lleis.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. A low-slung myrrh bush is here. A red elm tree grows here, its branches gently swaying in the breeze. A lobelia wildflower is growing here. A green-flowered ginseng plant has been planted here. A purple flower of echinacea grows here, its large stalk straining towards the sky. A low-lying wild ginger plant is growing here. The Tear of Lleis ripples gently here, embraced by its reedy bank.

....'bathe corpse'?  Dude.  When did the damn syntax for the tear change?!  BAH.  No wonder I couldn't rezz that guy in the Tear...

Also, silly Drahkuna!  All mobs inside Enorian call for guards when attacked now.
Poted by Yreogh on 13 Jul 2006 18:37 -
It's always been bathe corpse!

Fah, you try playing aetolia for as long as I have and not mess up commands! *grumble*
Poted by Sarkis on 14 Jul 2006 20:19 -
Oh...I have. Believe me, I have.
Poted by Avian on 15 Jul 2006 00:20 -
That's funny. The first thing you see when you log into Nexus is 'Be sure to PROBE creatures before you attack them, as they may be loyal to someone.'
Poted by Arota on 15 Jul 2006 06:48 -
...Obviously Drah should use nexus.  If he doesn't already.
Poted by Yreogh on 15 Jul 2006 15:36 -
I'm relatively sure Drah knew that DeBurr was loyal.  Considering he said earlier that if he weren't a novice, he'd help, when I was joking about attacking her.
Poted by Jahara on 16 Jul 2006 17:54 -
I've found out that when you need help with neat tricks on Nexus or whatever...there are two people to ask. Avian, or Drahkuna. Avian knows right away, and Drahkuna knows people who know other people who know what to do.
Poted by Arota on 17 Jul 2006 04:51 -
...Drahk has connections!  Mweheehee.

I'm sorry, I don't know why I find that funny.  It's either lack of sleep, lack of food, or excesive amounts of heat.  Or all three at once.
Poted by Jahara on 18 Jul 2006 03:57 -
You live in Canada, how hot can it get?
Poted by Arota on 18 Jul 2006 16:04 -
When you're used to -50 celcius, +40 is boiling. (That's -58 and 104 farenheit  , for all you silly people not using a sensible temperature scale)
Poted by Indiana on 18 Jul 2006 18:24 -
-blink- Umm .. I never knew people could actually live at -50 o.O
Poted by Avian on 19 Jul 2006 07:11 -
Obviously, Canada is the natural habitat for the Abominable Snowman.
Poted by Yreogh on 19 Jul 2006 13:14 -
Cept he shaves in the summer.
I didn't realize it got that warm in Cannuck territory.  It's like, 105 without the heat inde today.
Poted by Arota on 19 Jul 2006 15:47 -
Mmm, most of the rest of Canada is a little more gentle on the temperature scale (IE, they have a 60 or 70 degree celcius spread, not 90) but I'm on the flat part...so no mountains to block the cold winds, no trees to filter out the heat.  Plus we tend to regularly get doughts, so that makes it REALLY hot and REALLY cold.  Droughts in winter?  Are no fun, let me tell you.  Clouds in winter keep some of the heat in.  When there's no clouds, all that heat escapes, so you have dry cold.

And Indi, it is possible to live in -50.  It's called stay in the heated house unless you absolutely have to leave, and then bundle yourself up to look like a cold Invisible Man.

The sad part is, I'm less than a days drive from the American border.
Poted by Jahara on 19 Jul 2006 21:38 -
I went to Canada once in december. Went up a mountain, saw a bunch of hot snowboarders, used weird money to buy hot cocoa, and got to play in the snow! But it still wasn't that cold.
Poted by Arota on 20 Jul 2006 03:43 -
'course not.  Mountains, especially ski resorts, would be nice and warm.  Get all the chinooks up there.  Plus, mountains are near the coast, and that never gets very cold.

And your money is the weird stuff.  You have to pll it all the way out of your wallet and squint at it to find out what denomination it is...
Poted by Jahara on 22 Jul 2006 04:47 -
Yeah, like you can miss the giant "20" on it, or the large portrait of a dead guy. If you're talking about the coins...then yes! Those are hard to figure out, but I didn't see ANYWHERE on those canadian coins telling me how much it was worth. I just saw some lady's head. (Or what I thought was a lady.)...i'm fairly sure that cashier ripped me off too and gave me the wrong change because he knew I wasn't from there.
Poted by Arota on 22 Jul 2006 14:25 -
...yeah, I suppose the coins would be confusing.  We mostly go by size?  And the edge.  Those ridges ain't just for show and blind people!
Poted by Avian on 22 Jul 2006 18:51 -
American coins aren't confusing. We have like... a total of four kinds, each very distinct.

As a side note, I always found it funny how Canadians have the top half of their heads float...
Poted by Arota on 23 Jul 2006 01:54 -
...We weren't talking about American coin being confusing.  We were talking about Canadian coins being confusing.

Geez, keep up, Avian!

And what do you mean by having the top half of our heads float?
