My opinion of Daskalos is that he can be likeable, provided you don't directly disrespect his authority, or social standing. If you do that, he will not like you at all. HE can be something of a prick, but nothign close to what Aren or OSifer has done to various people merely on a whim. Daskalos may be harsh at times, but those two...oi.

Jelo, you set yourself up as a nail that needed to be hammered down, and Daskalos certainly had a mace to do it with. I know a lot of leaders who would have probably killed you if you had said some of those things.

And...
...anyone who wants to rule a city, guild, or similar organization is probably ambitious and soemthing of a powerwhore. That doens't make them automatically a bad person.
